a short history of euridge manor

Euridge Manor, the former hunting lodge of renowned explorer Sir Walter Raleigh, is located at the crossroads of Somerset and Wiltshire in the beautiful Cotswolds. Master garden designers Isabel and Julian Bannerman have given life to Euridge with their glorious monastery-style transformation that has breathed new energy into this historic Wiltshire farmhouse estate.

After four decades of care and devotion by its owner, this property stands as a living testament to the artful combination of scents, stones, and steps gathered from around the world. Each season unveils a new narrative woven into every corner.

euridge manor wedding photography – your story

My driving force on your wedding journey is to document your story, your friends and your family in a creative yet authentic way. From the time you book with me to the final delivery of your images, I am there for you and your story.

Throughout the wedding day, I document beautiful moments in a very natural and unposed manner whilst adding creativity to deliver images that are unique to you and your story.

I love the feeling of leaving a wedding and feeling part of the family – there’s nothing better. It’s been said numerous times “it was like having a friend capture our day” – that’s the way it should be.

You will find me right in the action, at close quarters, you won’t see me skirting the wall with a long lens. I believe in documenting your story from within. I can usually be found laughing with your guests, often I’m the one making people laugh.

Being close really helps your friends and family feel comfortable with me and allows me to document moments that I wouldn’t otherwise capture if they were uneasy.

six choices of ceremony at euridge manor

The enchanting private grounds are officially authorised for civil ceremonies and partnerships in six distinct locations. The breathtaking Boathouse, which can accommodate up to twenty people at capacity, is ideal with its gorgeous wisteria- scented pergola and Italianate terrace perfect for additional guests.

Additionally, Euridge has its signature Castle Arch – a stunning view of vibrant chandeliers within the ruins of an old castle complemented by blooms poking out from between cracks in the stone – as well as the beloved Portico.

For those who prefer an intimate gathering, the Cloister can comfortably accommodate up to 40 guests. Prefer a larger ceremony? The Lost Orangery and majestic Ballroom will host up to 120 and 150 of your nearest and dearest respectively.

Alternatively, for something more traditional, you can take a short two-mile journey southbound to the 12th Century Saxon stone church of St John the Baptist in Colerne.

the beautiful reception atmosphere at euridge manor

To make your dinner an unforgettable memory, you can invite up to 150 guests to the magnificent Ballroom and antique grotto. Under the glimmer of radiant chandeliers and with enchanting music playing in the background, candles flickering and braziers burning until dawn – this experience is simply magical.

But if a more intimate setting is what you are after for 50 or fewer guests; then the signature Orangery amongst tranquil palms and fountains ensures just that!

the lost orangery, ballroom and the cottages at euridge manor

The Lost Orangery is a space that transforms into whatever you dream it to be. Whether the sun casts its golden light through the windows, or an enchanting evening awaits you underneath twinkling chandeliers and palms – the Orangery will make your celebration one to remember.

I personally love the orange walls juxtaposed with the vibrant green palms and the chic decor. The Lost Orangery is simply unforgettable.

The grandiose Ballroom, with its wholehearted magnificence and ageless grotto, serves as the perfect setting for your Wedding Breakfast, speeches, and dancing while the sun sets beneath glimmering chandeliers lit by candles and braziers. A vast canvas full of all possibilities limited only by your creativity awaits you!

Delight in staying at the 17th-century stone terraced cottages located just a brief stroll away from the main house. These meticulously renovated homes offer unmatched beauty and comfort, with each cottage having the capacity to accommodate up to six or nine guests respectively for Bluebell and Peartree Cottage & Ivy Cottage respectively.

Make these quaint rental dwellings your ultimate home away from home when taking advantage of exclusive hire of the Euridge grounds!
