Absolutely brilliant to be back at the Fig House for a Middleton Lodge Wedding. The wonderful Helen + Josh are based in France but booked me for their big day at the stunning fig house, I always love working a Middleton lodge wedding. The venue, the surroundings, the atmosphere, the staff and so much more, it just makes for a perfect wedding.
I had such a lovely morning with the girls at Helens parents house just a mile down the road from Middleton lodge. Always a bonus when travelling between venues if they are close haha. As much as I photographed the preparations I think we laughed more and had a bit of a DJ session with some cheesy music, cant beat it on a wedding morning. We all love some vengaboys.
Helen and Josh – what can I say; You guys smashed it out the park. I always get asked what’s my favourite venue to work at etc but my response is always more about the couple, the guests and the atmosphere and with your wedding those 3 aspects were amazing for me. Everyone was so nice and I always strive to be part of the family and I certainly felt like that so thank you very much. Massive props to the bear hug on the dance floor when I left. Still can’t believe she lifted me off the floor. Hench!

“We knew Ray was right to capture our wedding when he told us his style wasn’t to spend hours taking posed photos and prefers to take natural shots. He provided us the morning entertainment by taking over the playlist, few dance moves and cheeky humour had me and my bridesmaids laughing all morning.
Half the time we didn’t even notice him there, and the silence of the cameras meant you didn’t even realize when he took a photo so it helped keep things so natural and relaxed. We already knew he provided previews on the day of the wedding but we didn’t realise how special we would find these until it was our turn for them! They were just stunning, it gave us a chance to naturally go around and see all our guests and show them ourselves.
It also meant we could send out our thank you messages within a few days with these previews and share them with the world without using bad phone images or waiting a few weeks for the professional ones. This really was a great touch. We took the package where Ray stays until 10pm, and let’s be honest that’s where the fun begins, some hilarious images from the later hours.
Honestly Ray was just so much fun and just made us feel so at ease, he really was like a guest. Thank you so much for capturing every moment of our day with absolutely stunning images and bringing our memories alive again. Josh and Helen xx”
