Destination wedding vibes BUT at Shotton Grange in Cramlington!

Shotton Grange in Cramlington on the edge of Newcastle providing the goods; Awesome sunshine, equally awesome couple in Charlotte and Joe. My kind of people. Good Times. Big love guys! Their day was honestly and without exaggeration a destination wedding but in Newcastle. It was so destination wedding vibing that i suggested we do the cake cutting and first dance outside in the glorious sunshine. It went so well.

In fact the only parts of the day that were inside were the bridal prep, dinner and the evening dancing. The rest of the entire day was outside and i’m here for it, like, really really here for it. If I could be outside for every wedding all day I’d be a very happy man.

It was my first time back at Shotton Grange since their ‘additions’ to the venue such as the new ceremony area outside the front of the main building and the pizza shack. Needless to say the pizza shack got absolutely hammered on the evening. Vultures ha-ha. Charlotte asked me for a photograph or her smashing in a pizza slice, who am I to say otherwise, see below. haha.

It was super lush to spend the day with Aaron from Just Press Play, brining the film and Super 8 goodness. If you have never heard a Super 8 camera recording, oh my days – it just makes you smile, like bing transported back to the 80’s and the nostalgic feelings of watching my favourite films from the era.

What an era by the way 80s/90s – Can tell i was born in 1985. Just love that time – super cool for Charlotte and Joe to have some of their day recorded in such a nostalgic/vintage medium. Super 8 defo is making a strong reassurance of late, having seen it done at a few weddings recently.

Great to see so many great suppliers too, Lily kerbey smashing the vocals was a highlight. Super lush to work with her and the super adorable Becca from Wild In Tyne who just smashed the flowers for the weddings and delivered such a strong visual look. Well done ladies.

Another shoutout to @hugoandelliotbridal for the stunning dress. Charlotte looked increds! @makeupbyurszula absolutely killing the make up early doors and delivering the goods and @thearrivalband smashing the live music late into the evening.
