The West Mill Derby is such a cool venue and situated in a beautiful surrounding. My first time documenting a West Mill Wedding and it did not disappoint. The beautiful industrial feel of the building and the old touches such as clocking in machines etc really give this venue a unique approach. I will certainly look forward to coming back many times for many more brilliant weddings.
Rachel and Kalesa in one word; bloody awesome, alright two words but by god did I have a great day with them. Their friends and family were so cool and they gave me a good laugh throughout which is always great. Guys if your reading this, thank you so much for having me it was an absolute pleasure to be part of your journey.
“This magnificent Grade 1 Listed Building offers a relaxed and individual setting for your special day. Split over four floors, the building offers unique and separate spaces for your civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception areas for drinks and dancing for up to 160 guests. The West Mill’s outside space includes a delightful south facing courtyard and garden, as well as a walkway running alongside the River Derwent providing an idyllic setting for your wedding reception and photographs.” – The West Mill Wedding Venue Website
Here are some of my favourite moments from Rachel + Kalesa’s wedding at The West Mill Derby.
Ray travelled all the way from Newcastle to derby for our wedding and was just amazing! From our first zoom call to ordering our prints and album his friendly, fun and real attention to detail was more than we could have asked for. We absolutely love the photos. You captured our day perfectly.”
