A beautiful Beamish Hall Wedding for Abigail and Matthew

Well what a Beamish Hall Wedding this was; Abigail and Matthew are just the bees knees. So lovely people who I have a lot of time for. Their Beamish Hall Wedding was amazing, a small splutter of rain early morning put pay to an outdoor ceremony but that didn’t stop a beautiful wedding nonetheless.

Some of the best highlights of the day was honestly just spending the day with Abigail and Matthew and their friends and family, fair enough the best man almost tripping flat on his face during the ring exchange was pretty comical but Matthews love for Abigail really was the show stopper.

Matthew for months had written and produced his own song for the end of the night fireworks display, vocals, instrumentals, it was such a catchy song. The pair also choreographed their first dance with help from Dance City in Newcastle. Well done guys. This beamish hall wedding had it all ha-ha

“Ray asked us if we had any surprises planned… Matt rang Ray back in secret and told Ray ’there is a surprise’. Matt had this mad plan to write, record and surprise Abbie with an original song to be played during their fireworks display. Secret singing lessons were booked too!

Only a handful of people on the planet knew what was about to happen when the countdown started and Ray was one of the trusted few! Ray perfectly captured the moment when the penny dropped and Abbie realised Matt was singing.

Abbie was absolutely overwhelmed and she cried the whole way through the song and absolutely loved it!

Ray’s photographs of the moment were so good that Abbie decided to immortalise her favourite photo as the single artwork for “Abbie Will You Marry Me?” which is now on Spotify/iTunes (etc) for all the friends and family to enjoy as a reminder of the magical moment. Thank you Ray!”

Here are some of my favourite moments from Abigail and Matthew’s Beamish Hall Wedding.

“Ray, honestly what can we say? You have been absolutely amazing. We cannot thank you enough for all of your work in photographing our wedding. The photos are incredible and more beautiful than we could ever have imagined.

We love looking through them and are still choosing our favourites – we are spoilt for choice! They are the perfect record of our special day for the years to come. You have captured every moment beautifully and documented the pure joy of the day in each photograph.

We also wanted to thank you for being such an important part of our wedding day. From the moment we met you have been so open and kind, not to mention hilarious! We are so grateful for all your advice and help with the wedding – not only with the photos, but also on the wedding generally (how best to light 120 sparklers, the difficult inside / outside ceremony decision, how to organise the confetti and portraits etc).

You were absolutely amazing on the day – checking the weather and emailing at 5.30am, cracking jokes in the bridal suite in the morning to put everyone at ease, finding weather windows so we could get outside for photos, shepherding 100 people for confetti shots, standing in the pouring rain taking portraits – all while not missing a moment!

Somehow you were everywhere all at once, taking photos of all our guests having the best time. We had so much fun with you from the very start, including on our pre-wedding shoot. Thanks for being part of our Beamish Hall Wedding.
